Since graduating from USC’s esteemed critical studies program—where she was always first to raise her hand in Professor Leonard Maltin’s class and Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, The Hunger Games) became her mentor—Sasha Perl-Raver has appeared on outlets including E! Entertainment Television, PBS, TV Guide Channel, Fox News, LOGO, and Style Network. Her celebrity interviews, film reviews and entertainment reports were seen from 2010-2013 on NBC’s Los Angeles affiliate, KNBC, as well as on NBC.com’s Popcorn Biz blog and the occasional New York City cab. She has also contributed to Fandango, AOL, Hollywood.com and MovieWeb.com, among other outlets, while interviewing celebrities ranging from Meryl Streep and Robert Redford to Snoop Dogg. A voting member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), if you ever need to find her at a screening or a junket, she’s the one with her plate mounded with dessert or a mouthful of pilfered candy.

  1. What personality! Beauty! Energy! You’re a star.

I just watched an episode of “Private Chefs of Beverly Hills” where you did a party for Oliver, a teenager who treated you so badly. At the end you brought him some zeppole as an “olive branch” and he hugged you. What he did though throughout the night was NOT cool. He needed to be put in his place and taught never to treat people that way. What a jerk he was. If I had been in your shoes, I don’t know that I wouldn’t have walked out on his party and left him to feed his friends himself! You are one classy chef to deal with him as well as you did. Love the show!
